Looking To The Future

At Flora Vida Flower Farm, we are constantly looking ahead, envisioning a future where agriculture and nature exist in perfect harmony. Our forward-thinking initiatives are designed to expand our sustainable practices, enhance biodiversity, and deepen our community engagements. Join us as we explore innovative projects and ambitious goals that aim to shape a greener, more vibrant future for everyone.

2024

The Flora Vida Method

This proof of concept initiative seeks to redefine floriculture by incorporating nutritional management to naturally boost fragrance, vase life, and overall quality of our cut flowers. This approach aims to demonstrate how targeted, sustainable practices can directly enhance the vitality and marketability of flowers, setting new standards for the industry.

The Tierra Pura Method

Aiming to combat the invasive Bermuda grass species that often hinders soil health and biodiversity, this project will test and refine methods for removing Bermuda grass using environmentally friendly techniques that encourage the growth of native flora without the use of harmful chemicals.

2025

Flora Vida Expansion

As we scale our operations, Flora Vida Flower Farm will enhance our infrastructure and increase staff to support our growing range of projects and initiatives, ensuring that our expansion aligns with our core values of sustainability and community engagement.

Restoraflor Restoration

This restoration project will focus on rehabilitating the land acquired during the company expansion using regenerative agriculture principles. The goal is to restore the land’s natural fertility and biodiversity, making it a model for sustainable farming practices.

2026

Production Expansion

We plan to expand our cultivation to encompass a full acre dedicated exclusively to the production of our signature flowers. This expansion will allow us to increase our output while adhering to our rigorous standards for sustainable and regenerative farming.

Paleo-Culture Project

This innovative proof of concept project will reintroduce plant species that were once native to our region. By studying paleo-cultural environments, we aim to reforest areas with species that enhance biodiversity and resilience against climate change.

2027

Flora Vida Foundation

The Flora Vida Foundation for Neuro Diversity will be launched to support individuals with neurological differences. The foundation will focus on providing training, employment opportunities, and support within the agricultural sector, promoting inclusivity and diversity.

Texas Peony Program

This program will introduce and acclimatize peony varieties that are suited to the Texas climate. By cultivating these beautiful and sought-after flowers, we aim to diversify our floral offerings and conduct research on their growth responses to regional environmental conditions.

2028

Lisianthus Program

Dedicated to the cultivation of Lisianthus, this program will explore the breeding, growth, and marketing of various Lisianthus varieties. The goal is to optimize these flowers for local conditions and contribute to the diversification of our farm’s production.

Blackland Prairie Restoration

This large-scale restoration effort will focus on restoring native Blackland Prairie ecosystems. By reintroducing native grasses and flowers, we aim to revitalize local biodiversity, improve soil health, and create a refuge for wildlife.

2029

Brazos River Restoration

This initiative will involve working alongside local environmental groups to restore and protect the Brazos River. Efforts will include planting native vegetation, stabilizing river banks, and improving water quality to support the river’s ecosystem.

Save the Texas Bluebell

Focused on the conservation of the Texas Bluebell, an iconic but increasingly rare flower, this project aims to cultivate these flowers on our farm while supporting their conservation in the wild through habitat restoration and public education campaigns.

2030

Flora Vida Farmers Market

We will launch the Flora Vida Farmers Market, offering a venue for local producers to sell their goods directly to the community. The market will focus on sustainable, organic produce and products, fostering a local food economy and providing education on sustainable living.

TropiVida Program

Expanding our floral range, this program will focus on the cultivation of tropical flowers, adapting cutting-edge growing techniques to produce vibrant and exotic blooms. This initiative aims to cater to market demand for unique and sustainable floral options while exploring the ecological impacts of tropical flower cultivation.
